When Mistakes Become Portals: How I Stopped Chasing and Started Receiving

“It’s not the mistake that hurts me. It’s the way I treat it.”

For years, every mistake in my sports trading journey would open a breach. A crack that would spiral into a chain reaction: the urge to make up for it immediately, the sense of loss, the inner voice screaming, “you have to recover.”
And so, one mistake would lead to another, in a reactive and often destructive chain. A single bad trade became the excuse to undo days, weeks, sometimes even months of work.

But today, it’s no longer like that.

The Paradigm Shift

I learned two things that changed my life (and my final balance):

Stopping isn’t fear. It’s power.
When I choose not to place a trade after a mistake, I’m not running away—I’m repositioning myself. I’m not avoiding—I’m taking space to realign.

Even when I’m not trading, my system is still in motion.
I analyze, create content, build relationships, feed my vision. Working on the system is already an act of recovery.

And then something even more interesting happens.

When You Stop Chasing, Answers Start to Arrive

Let me give you an example.

After a recent mistake, instead of forcing a recovery with another trade, I told myself:
“I’ll make up for this loss in other areas.”

It wasn’t an excuse. It was a clean intention. An opening.

The next day, I received two pieces of news:

  • The income from sports trading, under my international setup, will likely be tax-exempt. That’s a net gain of +5%.
  • My advisor on financial incentives tells me about two urgent grants: €18k non-repayable per company. A potential €36k coming in.

I had lost €10k. I recovered €36k.
Not because I chased them, but because I didn’t force the process.

The Principle I Hold On To

The Warrior doesn’t chase. He aligns.
The universe responds when you stop shouting.

This isn’t a lesson on how to make more money. It’s a lesson on how not to lose your center.

Profit is a consequence. Presence is a choice.

And you?

Have you ever realized that a mistake is just a point along the curve?
Have you ever experienced what happens when, instead of chasing the recovery, you step into the process?

Tell me or simply write it down for yourself.

Every grounded reflection is one more step into your real system.
